I too think she has some issues that need resolved and feel her children are going to suffer for it. If she really wanted to be a good mom she should give up at least 7 of them to adoption. After all she herself said her goal was to have only one more and ended up with 8. I applaud her for not selectively eliminating them and I don’t think anyone should be making this decision but her.

I think everyone is failing to recognize that there are plenty of families that have multiple children. Families that are on public assistance! What about a polygamist who has several wives and each wife has several children. In the eyes of the state those women are unmarried and will receive assistance with food, utilities and often housing. She’s not the only one who is beating the crap out of the system.

I do not know what the proper term for her mental illness is but there is clearly something wrong. It was irresponsible of both her and the doctor who implanted those embryos. Honestly, I think the doctor should have his license revoked. I really hope these kids come out of this ok from a psychological standpoint.

@Trevor: This is my business for two reasons. First, she has repeatedly (and as recently as this week) put herself out in front of the press. Secondly, when she can no longer afford to pay to support these children, you and I will get to pay to support these children. Even if a company, lets use Pampers as a hypothetical, decides to donate every diaper these kids ever use. In the end, the people who buy Pampers down the road are going to be the one’s paying for those diapers. Now compound that to everything from food, housing, insurance and everything else those children will need for the next 18 years.

I tend to be more on the side of the government staying out of peoples private lives, but this is one case where CPS REALLY needs to step in. This woman has made her life public and I believe she has proved that she has NO BUSINESS being a mom to one kid let alone 14!!

Again, if this was a guy who fathered 14 kids, NOBODY would feel sorry for the guy. There would be a bunch of comments like “he should have kept it in his pants” and so on.

She reproduced, that’s not a talent, its a biological function. On top of that she can’t afford on her own to raise them which makes her a deadbeat mom

Seeing as that she is mooching off the rest of us, its a big deal. She knew she couldn’t afford them, and she did it anyways. There is no way she can support those kids unless she uses tax dollars.

Someone needs to spay her. Useless leech.

I’m very much pro-life….but she should not have created all those embryos in the first place, let alone implanted them, when she had no means to properly provide for them all.

I wish them well….they’re going to need divine intervention, I think. I hope she smartens up and does her best to keep them out of the limelight, because that is not healthy for kids.

I was watching the special on her and she admitted that she screwed up but still. She’s an idiot. She was single, unemployed, and already had 6 kids. Who in their right mind would think “hey, I think I’ll have more kids” let alone 8 of them. I feel sorry for the kids too.
